Popping into the classrooms and seeing teaching & learning programmes springing to life is always the highlight of my day… a big thank you to the students for sharing what they’re up to in class.
Congratulations also to our cross country representatives who performed admirably under indifferent skies at the zone carnival last Friday. We wish Mason, Koa, Mila & Elyse all the best as they progress to the regional carnival.
A very big thank you to P&C for organising and running our recent Mother’s Day stall. It’s always a big hit and much appreciated.
A particular mention to all our Mother’s Day sponsors and Melissa and Elena for giving their time to run the Yoga and Zumba classes.
Please join us for our Reconciliation Week Assembly next week, Wednesday 28 May at 9:15.
Reconciliation Week reminds us that if we are careful observers of history, we are better equipped moving forward – informed, respectful and optimistic.
As a community and as a nation, positive relationships matter. It’s a very human thing!
As part of Reconciliation Week, the Saltwater Dancers will be participating in the Koojay Corroboree on Friday 30 May. We would love to see you there if you can make the event.
As Principal of Chifley PS, I believe in strong educational partnerships. My office door is always open if you would like to discuss any aspect of your child’s education.

Principal, Chifley Public School
Dear Families and Guardians at Chifley Public School,
CommunityOSH is absolutely delighted that we were chosen to be the OSH provider for Chifley PS commencing on Tuesday 22nd of July 2025 (start of Term 3). We are delighted to extend our network in the Little Bay Area. Some of you might be asking yourself – who are CommunityOSH and what do they stand for? In a few words might we suggest the following:
¤ Absolute commitment to outcome-based practices.
¤ Focus on child and family wellbeing and community involvement.
¤ A true partnership with the school.
Our flexibility as a smaller, owner-operated service promotes a uniquely meaningful two-way connection with each school, which in turn enables us to provide a bespoke service that best meets the needs of each school community. It is the relationship we have in partnership with Chifley Public School which will enable us to be our very best.
The last word, however, must always belong to the children. Philosophically, our goals for the children are simple: to have fun and to develop in a safe and secure environment. Our focus has been on supporting and challenging each child to be resourceful, resilient and forward-thinking. And, above all, we hope that every child in our care will take away fond and lasting memories from their time at CommunityOSH.

Year 2 have been learning about patterns and lines of symmetry in Mathematics.

Science Enrichment Group
Science is fun! In this lesson, the Chifley scientists investigated the energy content in a single cheezel. After the experiment, students were shown how to use a scientific formula to calculate the amount of energy. It could be said that more fun was had in this lesson than eating a bag of cheezels!

Year 3
Year 3 feeding the chickens!
Thank you to all the parents and carers for their contributions and help with the Mother's Day stall and Raffle.

Thank you to the following companies/people for their very generous donations towards our raffle prizes.
