It’s been lovely to see everyone launching themselves into the new school year.
Special mention to Kindergarten who have made an excellent start to “big school”.
A very big thank you to all our parents & carers who joined us for Meet the Teacher last week. Sometimes school information sessions can generate more questions so please do not hesitate to ask. Please bear in mind, Parent/Teacher meetings will also be conducted towards the end of term.
CPS Swimming Carnival
This week started with a splash and the swimming carnival! It’s always a fabulous day.
The teachers were delighted with the level of participation and generous support that boomed across the pool deck.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended the carnival to support the children and help to make it such a special day.
We wish our representative swimmers all the very best at the Zone Swimming Carnival next Tuesday.
School Attendance
Regular school attendance supports the continuity of learning in our classrooms and helps children create strong social connections at school.
See Every day matters and please contact the office to ensure absences are explained and recorded correctly.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
2025 Student Health Care Plans and Medication
Student Health Care Plans are currently being updated for 2025.
If your child has a medical or health care need, it's essential the school has a copy of your child's current ASCIA Plan (for anaphylaxis or allergies), Asthma Action Plan or Health Care Plan.
Your child's doctor (general practitioner or specialist) provides these plans which give information for families, carers and school staff how to manage health care needs - with details of medications.
Parents & carers of children requiring medications must provide the relevant medication to the office and complete a “Request for Support at School of a Students Health Condition and Prescribed Medications” form.
Please note, “Over the counter” medication needs to be in its original packaging.
All prescribed medication must be in a blister pack (Webster-Pak) to ensure accurate dosage, proper hygiene and correct storage.
Please drop all plans and medications into the office as soon as possible.
P&C
The P&C AGM is Thursday 6 March, 5.30pm in the library.
The AGM agenda will include elections for the executive members of the P&C for 2025. Under the P&C constitution, nominations and voting are restricted to financial members.
The AGM will be followed by a general meeting.
P&C are asking for donations for the Mother’s Day Raffle & Stall. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
The yellow P&C recycling bins for drink cans and plastics bottles are located on the OOSH Verandah. As there is an onsite collection, please no glass bottles.
The CPS P&C can be contacted at chifleypcinfo@gmail.com.
As Principal of Chifley PS, I believe in strong educational partnerships. My office door is always open if you would like to discuss any aspect of your child’s education.
